  • Approach\ From a distance it appears heavy, a building of weight and significance, with a crown of light stretching far into the sky. Land&Seascape\ Despite its weight the building touches the landscape delicately, a bold contrast to the natural environment, but complements the stark context, the rocks, the dark sea, the ghost of the previous watchtower and of heavy industry. Ground Floor\ Visitors will be drawn toward the shaft of light from above and glimpse a journey to come. Observation Garden\ The ascension reaches its climax, visions of ancient, industrial, information and future ages reveal themselves. Light\ Reaching for the sky above the observation garden is a shard of glass and light. A physical and metaphorical torch of guidance and warning for changing seasons and attitudes.
